Recently I found myself in one of those weird YouTube loops whereupon I found myself completely engrossed in a documentary chronicling the making of the 1983 science fiction-fantasy classic Krull. I never had the opportunity to watch Krull in theaters during its theatrical run, but grew to love the film during my childhood during it’s constant run on cable.
Coming in at 22-minutes Journey to Krull – Making the Film provides an interesting look at the work that went into making the cult classic film. But what makes this documentary just a little strange is that Tom Bosley of Happy Days and David the Gnome provides the narration for the film.
If you have never had a chance to watch Krull, don’t let it 33% rating on Rotten Tomatoes deter you. While it may not be a movie for everyone it has a lot going for it: a fantastic score by James Horner, a Cyclops, Fire Mares … and the amazing Lysette Anthony!
